Regional environmental assessment of the impacts of large dams in Mexico

In basins where high levels of environmental degradation are present, the search for practical and holistic approaches for analysing the impacts caused by the construction of a dam, or a series of dams, is very important, because of the increasing complexity of the projects. In these approaches cumulative, synergistic and residual impacts in the same river should be taken into account.
