The Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre (KGRTC) is in Namalundu, about 100 km south of Lusaka. The Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LWHP) is a four-phase, multi-billion Maloti/Rand bi-national project between the Governments of the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Republic of South Africa. It comprises transfer of water to South Africa, generation of hydropower for Lesotho's domestic requirements and ancillary developments. The project has been quoted by third parties as a showcase for transboundary water resources management. Phase I was commissioned in 2004 and currently Phase II is being implemented, incorporating lessons learnt in Phase I. The LWHP is implemented by the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho.

Current work includes the rehabilitation of the Kariba dam spillway on the Zambezi river.
