Hydro Tasmania has developed a strategy to understand better possible climate change impacts in the Tasmanian region. This includes work with Tasmania-specific climate change modelling, as well as the modelling of the impact of predicted changes in rainfall and evaporation patterns on Hydro Tasmania’s operations. This paper describes Hydro Tasmania’s initiatives to respond to current change in inflows and the potential future climate change impacts.
