Cyber security for hydropower automation systems

This paper looks at the broad field of cyber security requirements for powerplant automation systems and discusses how security should be addressed in a realistic way. The authors suggest possible solutions and system architectures. In particular, the concept of product and system hardening is addressed, to increase the robustness of the system. The paper also highlights important cyber security product features and shows how specialized security equipment can be used to protect systems against cyber security attacks.
