Evaluating interlamination circulating current at core joints in large machine stators

Although an updated vector theory of the EL CID technique, including the situation at stator core joints, was given by Ridley in 2007, absolute values of the interlamination insulation fault current (d) were not evaluated at that time. This paper provides evaluation of d at core joints for five large hydrogenerators.
