Upgrading the fish pass at the Nitra scheme, Slovakia

Fish passes, to enable fish to travel through hydraulic structures in waterways, are becoming increasingly important. The original fish pass built for the hydraulic structures at Nitra in Slovakia does not meet current standards. The authors describe studies for an upgrade to improve the system’s efficiency.
