Please be aware that people in our industry have been contacted offering to purchase delegate lists for HYDRO 2019. We would like to reassure you that this is a scam, which has also been used with other leading industry events. We do not divulge delegate information to third parties, nor do we provide information about our delegates without their explicit prior permission. We would urge you not to give out credit card details or other information to anyone contacting you offering to sell details of attendees to our events.
It has been brought to our attention that scam accommodation bureaux have been approaching exhibiting companies and members of the hydro industry claiming to represent the HYDRO 2019 conference and offering discounted accommodation in Porto. Please be aware that these companies have no affiliation with us, and we would urge you not to give credit card or personal details to anyone offering to book accommodation for you. The only way to book accommodation through us is by registering, through the online registration process, or, if you have already registered online, by contacting Conference Collective. Conference Collective will not approach you to try and sell accommodation.
HYDRO 2019 will be the 26th in our annual series of hydro conferences, and the third to take place in Portugal, following HYDRO 2004 in Porto, and HYDRO 2010 in Lisbon. Portugal is an ideal European host country for the global hydropower community, with a wealth of experience and expertise to share, in all forms of hydropower, from large-scale pumped-storage plants to large and small run-over-river installations. The country has about 7200 MW of installed hydro capacity, and typically hydro contributes more than 15 000 GWh/year of electricity.
