Consultancy services sought for Kirthai-II in Jammu and Kashmir, India

Bids are invited by 27 January to assist with the procurement of an EPC contractor for the implementation of the 930 MW project.

Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC), the state power utility serving the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, invites bids by 27 January from qualified consulting firms to assist with the procurement of an EPC contractor for implementation of the 930 MW Kirthai-II hydropower project on the lower reaches of the river Chenab.

The contract will include framing of the EPC bid documents for an international competitive bidding process and assist JKSPDC at all stages for procurement of an EPC contractor up until the signing of an agreement. The run-of-river project is designed to include a 121 m-high concrete gravity dam, a 4.29 km-long headrace tunnel, an 840 MW underground powerhouse and a 90 MW dam toe powerhouse.

Detailed tender documents can be downloaded from the e-tendering portal www.jktenders.gov.in upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs 100 000 by demand draft, drawn in favour of “General Manager, Accounts, JKSPDC, Jammu” payable in Jammu. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 30 December at the address below. All queries and clarifications should be submitted by 30 December with reply to all bidder queries by 11 January 2020.
