Consultancy services for life extension of 400 MW Kenyir station in Malaysia

Malaysia’s state-owned power utility, Tenaga Nasional Berhad Resources (TNB), invites bids by 10 June for engineering consultancy services for the life extension of the 400 MW Sultan Mahmud/ Kenyir hydropower station. Located on the river Kenyir in Terengganu, a northeastern state of Peninsula Malaysia, the multipurpose scheme, which is designed for hydropower and flood mitigation, entered into operation in 1985.

New unit sought for Tamarind Falls in Mauritius

The Central Electricity Board (CEB), the state-owned power generation and distribution utility of the Republic of Mauritius, invites bids by 24 May from eligible and qualified local and international bidders through the Government e-Procurement System for the design, supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of a new generating unit at the Tamarind Falls hydropower station. The scope of works comprises the installation of one new Pelton type turbine generating unit of at least 4 MW at the power station complete with electro-mechanical equipment and associated civil works, and the disassembly of existing two units: G4 (Partial disassembly) and G5 (Full disassembly).

WAPDA seeks consultant for 300 MW floating solar PV in Pakistan

Pakistan's Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) invites expressions of interest by 20 April from eligible consulting firms for project supervision services for a planned 300 MW floating solar PV (FPV) project at the Tarbela-Ghazi-Barotha Complex. The project comprises a 150 MW FPV plant on the reservoir impounded by the Ghazi Barrage, Haripur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and a 150 MW FPV plant in the Attock District in Punjab. The construction of the FPV plants and the consultant services will be proposed for credit/loan financing by the World Bank. The project would be implemented by WAPDA, who is also the owner of these water bodies.
