The project is one of four small hydropower projects being co-developed at the site of dams, which are owned and operated by the Royal Irrigation Department.
Bids are invited from individual companies, joint ventures or consortia for the design, manufacture, fabrication, shop tests, supply, delivery to site, insurance, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, on-site training and guarantee of the equipment and civil works including powerhouse and appurtenant structures for the project, according to a tender notice published on EGAT’s website on 4 November. The project, valued at THB 196.95 million (US$ 6.07 million), is to be funded by EGAT.
Interested single bidders or joint ventures are required to obtain a License to Practice the Controlled Engineering Profession issued by the Council of Engineers of Thailand. In the case of a consortium, only the member responsible for the design or construction supervision work needs to obtain a license.
