Equipment sought for Rwanguba, DRC

Virunga Energies SAU has issued an international tender for the construction of the 15 MW Rwanguba hydropower plant in the Democratic Republic of Congo's eastern province of Nord-Kivu. Bids are invited by 18 April for the supply, delivery to site, and supervision of installation through to commissioning of a turbine-generating unit and accessories (Ref: 08/2022/VESAU/Rwanguba/03)

Bids are also invited by 8 April for the supply and transport to Mombasa of a ductile iron penstock of DN 1600 – 2000 (with PFA – PEA and PMA factors varying from 25 to 35 bars) and accessories (Ref: 07/2022/VESAU/Rwanguba/02). The project is being carried out within the framework of Virunga Energies’ programme “Environment and sustainable agriculture for the safeguard of priority nature sites in the DRC; Environnement et agriculture durable pour la sauvegarde des sites biologiques prioritaires de la RDC”. Prequalification bids sought for small hydro in Jordan

The Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) invites prequalification bids by 10 April for the development of two small hydropower plants at the Wadi Al Arab wastewater treatment plant (WWTW) and in the Al-Shounah area on a Design, Build, Operate basis under FIDIC Yellow Book rules.

Tembo Power seeks partner to finance run-of-river projects in Burundi

Mauritius-based independent power producer Tembo Power is seeking a partner to support the development of two run-of-river hydropower projects with a combined installed capacity of 22 MW in southwest Burundi. Expressions of interest are invited by 31 March from investors to invest in the development of the 9.6 MW Dama and 12.4 MW Sigu projects in the Rumonge and Bururi provinces, respectively.
