Investors sought for 100-150 MW project on Lualaba, DRC

The Ministry of Hydraulic Resources and Electricity of the Democratic Republic of Congo has launched a two-stage tender for the selection of a private sector developer to build and operate under a long-term concession a 100 -150 MW hydropower station at the Nzilo 2 site on the Lualaba river, in the southern province of Lualaba.

The Ministry of Hydraulic Resources and Electricity of the Democratic Republic of Congo has launched a two-stage tender for the selection of a private sector developer to build and operate under a long-term concession a 100 -150 MW hydropower station at the Nzilo 2 site on the Lualaba river, in the southern province of Lualaba. Expressions of interest are invited from private investors by 15 December for the design, financing, construction, commissioning and operation of the project in the region formerly known as Katanga.

Prequalified bidders, who meet the technical, financial and legal criteria as set out in the Call for Expressions of Interest Document, will be invited to bid in accordance with the request for proposals, which will be issued by the Project and Public Procurement Management Unit of the Ministry of Hydraulic Resources and Electricity (Cellule de Gestion des Projets et des Marchés Publics du Ministère des Ressources Hydrauliques et Électricité, CGPMP).
