Ecuador’s flagship Coca Codo Sinclair project will reach completion next year

When complete, the Coca Codo Sinclair hydroelectric project will have a total installed capacity of 1500 MW and is, at present, the largest scheme in the Republic of Ecuador and one of the largest run-of-river schemes in the world. Coca Codo Sinclair is the flagship project of the Ecuadorian Government and is the basis for changing the energy matrix of the country. The project is scheduled to begin operation in early 2016.
