Risk analysis and safety plan for the Nachtigal scheme in Cameroon

The main features and the outcomes are described of the risk analysis carried out for the 420 MW Nachtigal Amont scheme, currently under construction on the Sanaga river in Cameroon. The authors give details of the methodology used, which was based on both international and national standards for risk assessment applied to major hydropower schemes.
