Testing of hydraulic turbine steelworks by magnetic express control methods

The results of non-destructive testing of hydro turbine parts are presented. Tests included stress-strain state analysis, hardness testing of the blade surface layer, visual testing, ultrasonic testing and liquid penetrant testing. The applied methodology employed the metal magnetic memory approach. This approach and some examples of diagnosed defects, are described.
