The EU-Horizon 2020 FIThydo project

Extensive research has been underway, in a collaborative venture between researchers and industrial partners in ten European countries, as part of the European Commission-funded FIThydro project, aimed at finding cost-effective and innovative ways to mitigate environmental impacts affecting fish at existing and new hydropower plants. As the project nears its end, authors from TU Munich, which has been leading the programme, describe the objectives and the work programmes, and gives examples of what has been achieved.
