Tidal Gardens could supply 100 GW of tidal energy in America

Details of the ‘Tidal Gardens’ concept were presented in a paper in H&D Issue One this year; a second paper in Issue Two looked at prospects for Asia. This paper will now focus on possible applications in the Americas. The author demonstrates that this solution could be cost-effective not only in places with high tidal range such as in Canada or Alaska, but also those with a medium tidal range such as in Argentina, or even with a tidal range of 3 m such as in Brazil.
