Vietnam on the way towards integrated water resources management

Water resources development is making a major contribution to Vietnam’s socio-economic development. The country faces a number of challenges: water resources are unevenly distributed and there are rapidly increasing demands on these resources from various sectors. A framework is now in place which encourages integrated water resources management; this, combined with a new National Water Resources Strategy is proving extremely valuable in the country.
