As usual, our event management team has blocked rooms in a number of hotels in Bologna, at special conference rates, for HYDRO 2026 participants. Details of four of these are given below: three modern business hotels located close to the Conference and Exhibition Centre, and one of a more classical style a little further away. Details of some additional hotels will be available on the registration site.
Savhotel Fiera Bologna
The newly renovated 4* Savhotel Fiera Bologna is just a 4-minute walk from the Conference and Exhibition Centre where HYDRO 2026 will take place, and 6 minutes from Piazza Maggiore, the main square in the historical centre of town.
The hotel has a pleasant garden, a restaurant, and a bar with a terrace offering nice views over the city (see photo); this is an excellent place to watch the sun go down while enjoying a drink with colleagues and friends. Many reviewers on line comment on the high standard of the buffet breakfast.
There are 24 hour fitness facilities for guests. Some parking is available, and there are good public transport (bus/tram) connections into the centre of town from a point very close to both the Savhotel and Una Hotel.
Una Hotel Bologna Fiera
Located in the Bologna Fiera district, the Una Hotel Bologna Fiera is a comfortable modern 4* business hotel, 2 minutes-walk from the Conference and Exhibition Centre. All rooms have minibars and LCD televisions. The memory foam beds have down comforters and premium bedding. There is complimentary WiFi, and rooms are equipped with 32-inch screen Smart televisions.
Other amenities include complimentary wireless internet access and concierge services, and 24 h front desk services. The hotel has a restaurant (Il Bolognese), and a bar/lounge. There is also a garden where guests can relax with a drink after a long day.
The hotel’s electricity is all from renewable sources, and within the hotel complex there is a charging station for electric cars.
Hotel Fiera
The stylish three-star Hotel Fiera is a 10-minute walk (approximately 3-minutes by taxi) from the Conference and Exhibition Centre. The hotel is conveniently located approximately 4 km from Guglielmo Marconi Airport, and just 2.5 km from Bologna’s historic city centre.
Recently-renovated rooms feature a contemporary design, creating welcoming, comfortable, and functional spaces designed for a pleasant stay. Each room is equipped with complimentary high-speed fibre-optic Wi-Fi, a 32-inch TV, minibar, electronic safe, and individually controlled air conditioning. The hotel also offers a range of facilities, including a spa, 24-hour gym, restaurant, and bar.
Royal Hotel Carlton
The is an elegant superior 4* hotel, in the historic centre of Bologna, so a little further from the Congress and Exhibition Centre (about 15 minutes by taxi or a pleasant 30-40 minute walk). The comfortable and spacious rooms offer smart TVs with Sky channels, air conditioning and minibars, as well as free Wi-Fi. The hotel is located in a quiet street.
The Planetario bar is a relaxing area for snacks and drinks, and the Spoon restaurant offers refined gastronomic cuisine. The buffet breakfast is excellent, with plenty of variety.
The hotel’s Monrif Spa includes a Finnish sauna, bio-sauna, Turkish bath, Aromarium and Calidarium. More energetic guests also have free access to a 150 m² ‘technogym’.
