Bids invited for modernization of Čierny Váh pumped-storage plant

Slovenske Elektrarne (SE), the Republic of Slovakia's dominant power producer, invites bids by 19 July for the modernization of the mechanical part of the turbine TG5 of the 735 MW Čierny Váh pumped-storage plant on the river Cierny Vah in Zilina. Čierny Váh, which was commissioned in 1981-82, is Slovakia’s largest pumped-storage plant and also its single largest hydropower plant.

The scope of contract, which has an estimated value excluding VAT of €11.738 million, includes the design, production and supply of a new impeller and modification of pre-distribution and distribution vanes; design and supply of new hydraulic control of the distribution vanes; repair of other mechanical parts of the turbine. Feasibility study sought for integrated Gongri-Jerichhu pumped-storage project in Bhutan

Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC), Bhutan's state-controlled hydropower plant operator and developer, invites expressions of interest by 14 July from prospective consultancy firms to assist with the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the Integrated Gongri hydropower project and Jerichhu pumped-storage project in eastern Bhutan. The DPR is to be prepared as per the Bhutan Guidelines for Development of Hydropower Projects 2018 to reflect international best practices and thereby make the project bankable for International Financing Institutions. DGPC intends to use internal funds to pay the contract for which this tender has been issued.

Bids invited to build Irueña hydropower plant in Spain

Spain's Dirección General del Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de la Energía (IDAE) (General Directorate of the Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy), part of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, invites bids by 5 July for the procurement of civil works, supply of equipment and commissioning of the Irueña hydroelectric power plant in the central region of Castile-La Mancha.
