Bids sought for reconstruction of Lagarde plant in France

HydroStadium, a hydropower engineering subsidiary of EDF, invites bids by 15 March for the reconstruction of the Lagarde hydropower station on the river Tarn in the commune of Barry d'Islemande in France’s southwestern department of Tarn-et-Garonne. The scope of supply includes the demolition of the existing plant and the reconstruction of a new powerhouse, water intake, along with the supply and installation of electromechanical, electrical and hydromechanical equipment.

The contract, with an estimated value of €5 million (excluding VAT), is scheduled to take 19 months from October of this year with the works to be undertaken by March 2026, according to a tender notice published on the EU’s procurement platform on 1 February.
