Bids sought for repair and rehabilitation of Oudebaaskraal dam spillway, South Africa

Bids are invited by 23 October for the project, in Tankwa Karoo National Park.

South African National Parks (SANParks) invites bids by 23 October for the repair and rehabilitation of the spillway of the Oudebaaskraal dam in the Tankwa Karoo National Park in the southern province of Western Cape.

The 21 m-high, 1200 m-long earth-fill type dam on the Tankwa river near Ceres, was commissioned in 1969 and serves mainly for irrigation purposes. It impounds the Oudebaaskraal dam reservoir with a total storage capacity of 34 x 106 m3.
