EPC contract tendered for 93 MW New Ganderbal project in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Ltd (JKSPDC), the state power utility serving the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, invites online bids by 3 August for an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the 93 MW New Ganderbal hydroelectric project.

The run-of-river project, which will comprise three 31 MW units, is to be built at an estimated cost of US$ 189 million on the river Sind, a tributary of the river Jhelum, in the Satluj Basin in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir. The project is expected to generate average annual output of around 383 GWh under a gross and net head of 163.5 m and 142.2 m, respectively.

The tender process will be carried out on an International Competitive Bidding (ICB) basis. All tender documents are available for download from the e-tendering portal of the J&K Government at www.jktenders.gov.in. Bids should be submitted along with a non-refundable fee of INR 35,000 or its equivalent payable by demand draft to the General Manager (Accounts).
