ESIA sought for rehabilitation of Unit 6 Inga 1 in DRC

The Project Coordination and Management Unit (UCM) of the Ministry of Hydraulic Resources and Electricity of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), acting as the project execution unit on behalf of the state power utility Electricité Du Congo (EDC), seeks to engage an individual consultant to carry out an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Environmental and Social Management Plan for the rehabilitation of group 6 (G16) of the 351 MW Inga 1 hydropower station on the Congo River.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 12 September.  The consulting services are to be financed by the African Development Bank under the Projet d’Appui à la Gouvernance et à l’Amélioration des Services Electriques (PAGASE).

Expressions of interest in French should be submitted by hand or by mail to the below mentioned address no later than 15.00 hours local time on 12 September, bearing the reference AMI n°018/PAGASE/MIN.RHE/UCM/2022/SC. The terms of reference can be obtained on the UCM website: www.ucmenergie-rdc.com. Interested consultants can obtain additional information at the address mentioned below during the following office hours: from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm local time, (UT+1), at the office of the Unité de Management des Projets du Ministère des Ressources Hydrauliques  et  Electricité,  1022 Avenue  des  Forces  Armées  de  la  RDC  (ex-Avenue  du  Haut Commandement), dans la  Concession Gombe  River-Zimbali,  2ème étage du Bâtiment à usage administratif-Kinshasa-Gombe, République Démocratique du Congo.
