Korporata Elektroenergjitike Shqiptare (KESH), Albania’s state power utility, invites prequalification applications by 8 February from eligible consultants to assist with reconstruction and replacement works at the Fierza hydropower plant on the Drin river, in the northern part of the country. The 500 MW Fierza hydropower dam is the uppermost in a cascade of three large storage plants on the Drin, with a combined capacity of 1350 MW. Based on its position and the volume of the reservoir, Fierza plays a key role in the exploitation, regulation and safe operation of the Drin cascade.
Romande Energie of western Switzerland invites bids by 5 February for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electro- and hydromechanical equipment for two small hydro stations to be built in the Pays-d’Enhaut ,in the southwestern canton of Vaud. The Petit Revers and Etivaz Aux Plans plants will be built as part of a renewal of the water supply pipelines and infrastructure that deliver drinking water from Etivaz to the city of Lausanne. Three turbines will be installed at two separate sites to replace energy dissipators, which were built to dissipate the force of water associated with the steep slope.
Landsvirkjun, Iceland’s state power producer, invites bids by 4 February for the supply of a complete stator for the synchronous generator at the 270 MW Búrfell hydrostation in southern Iceland. The contract entails the design, manufacture, testing, delivery to site, assembly, supervision of installation and final testing and commissioning of one complete stator to replace the Unit 4 stator. The contract also requires the supply of one set of spare parts, as specified in the tender documents. The contract is expected to be executed within 13 months of contract signing.
