The non-consulting services include control survey and establishment of control points; topographical survey and mapping; and river survey for the 590 MW Chamkharchhu II project in the southern district of Zhemgang (Zhemgang Dzongkhag) and for the 364 MW Chamkharchhu IV project in the northern district of Bumthang (Bumthang Dzongkhag). The delivery period for the services is 160 days.
The services are to be financed by the World Bank within the framework of the Accelerating Transport and Trade Connectivity in Eastern South Asia Phase 2 – Bhutan Project. Part of the project is being implemented by the Department of Surface Transport, Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in collaboration with the main implementing agency, Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC).
The topographical survey carried out during the Detailed Project Report (DPR) stage of the projects shall be geared towards preparation of the detailed engineering site plans and sections of the project area. Topographical maps and sections shall be prepared in sufficient detail to establish a sound basis for planning, engineering and design of the project.
Bidding will be conducted through National Open Competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers”, Fifth Edition, September 2023.
