WAPDA extends bid deadline for Warsak and awards consultancy services for Mohmand dam

A consortium has been selected to provide consultancy services at the Mohmand dam, as bid deadlines are extended for civil and E&M contracts at the Warsak rehabilitation project.

WAPDA has extended bids for the civil works and electro-mechanical works for the rehabilitation of Pakistan’s Warsak project. 

The deadline for the civil works is now 30 July and for the E&M works is 28 August. Details of the tenders can be found here.

WAPDA has also awarded the contract for consultancy services for construction design, supervision and contract management of the Mohmand dam project, which was signed by representatives of WAPDA and members of the consortium in late May.

The Consortium is led by NESPAK (National Engineering Services (PVT) Limited) from Pakistan. The partners of the consortium are Dollar Engineering Inc. Co., Turkey, Associated Consulting Engineers ACE Limited, Stantec, USA, SMEC International Pty Limited, Australia and MM Pakistan (PVT) Limited.

The Mohmand project is being constructed on the River Swat in Mohmand, Khyber Pakhtunhwa province. When complete, the 213 m-high CFRD dam and 800 MW powerhouse will be used for energy, water supply and irrigation.
