Main features of Los Caracoles hydro scheme, Argentina

The Los Caracoles project will allow for the expansion of Argentina’s energy supply and increase the surface area under irrigation in the province of San Juan. It comprises a 136 m-high dam and a reservoir with a capacity of 565 x 106m3. General features of the scheme are described here.
