Oued Rmel: a large RCC dam in Morocco with no joints or membrane

Several design features and construction techniques were used for the first time in Morocco at the recently impounded Oued Rmel RCC dam. This article outlines the main features of the project, its satisfactory performance, and the technical and economic advantages of the methods adopted. Oued R’mel is the 15th largest RCC dam operating in Morocco.
