Overview of CFRD construction in China

Over the past 20 years, China has constructed more than 150 CFRDs, including the highest dam of this type in the world. Chinese engineers have thus developed new techniques in the research of CFRDs and have also accumulated much experience in design and construction technologies. This article summarizes China’s CFRD construction experience, and presents some aspects of engineering, including scientific research, design, construction, and waterstop material development.
