The Acaray-Yguazú hydro complex is located within the Acaray river basin in the Alto Paraná department of the Republic of Paraguay. It comprises the Acaray and Yguazú dams, the Acaray I and Acaray II power stations, immediately downstream of the Acaray dam, and the Acaray high voltage transmission substation. The authors present an overview of the project’s main works, currently partially under implementation, with completion planned for the end of 2030.
