The Cleuson-Dixence pressure shaft has now been fully refurbished, following the accident in December 2000. This paper describes the technical concepts of the rehabilitation, the qualification programme and the preparation and implementation of the work. Another article follows, on p82, focusing on the re-commissioning of the Bieudron powerplant.
