Safety evaluation of Mexico’s Tepuxtepec dam

Tepuxtepec dam is a gravity masonry dam structure, complemented by an embankment dam section at the right abutment. After construction was completed in 1930, the dam was heightened twice, to its final height of 47 m. AFRY was awarded a contract for the safety evaluation of Tepuxtepec dam. This article focuses on the stability and earthquake analyses of the dam.
