The increasing importance of hydropower in Bolivia’s electricity sector

The authors reflect on the huge potential for further hydropower development in Bolivia, but also point out capacity building needs which are tending to limit the full exploitation of this valuable resource. Some key recommendations are made in this respect. The study forming the basis of this article is part of the EU-supported HYPOSO initiative.
