The Siarzewo barrage: a key element in Poland’s investment plans

Poland is planning to invest in further development of the lower reach of the Vistula river, which has significant hydro potential; this will also provide scope for major inland navigation development, as well as a number of other side benefits. The scheme will have negligible environmental impact, will increase Poland’s renewable energy production, and will offer ancillary benefits for operation of the national grid.
