Bids sought to supply heavy mechanical workshop equipment for Warsak, Pakistan

The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) invites sealed bids by 13 November from eligible bidders for the supply of heavy mechanical workshop equipment at the Warsak hydropower station on the river Kabul in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The contract is being funded as part of the second rehabilitation phase of the plant by the Agence Française de Développement, the German Development Bank (KfW) and the European Investment Bank, according to a tender notice published on the EU’s procurement website TED on 7 October.

Bids can be submitted for one or all of the following three lots: Lot 1: Heavy duty horizontal lathe machine along with accessories; 2-metre vertical lathe machine along with accessories and a plano milling machine with accessories; Lot 2: radial drilling machine with accessories, universal portable radial drilling machine with accessories and a magnetic base drilling machine with accessories; and, Lot 3: screw type compressor with accessories and an air tank for compressor with accessories.

A complete set of tender documents may be purchased on the submission of a written application to the General Manager (Hydel) Development, 105-Wapda House, Lahore and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of PKR 1000 per set in the form of bank draft/pay order in favour of ‘Manager Finance (Hydel) WAPDA’ Lahore, A/C No. 1303-59 HBL Gardee Square Branch Lahore, Pakistan.
