The turnkey contract for the El Cóndor scheme is to be financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development KfW, which has provided funding to the Government of Bolivia to support the generation of renewable energy by small hydropower plants and corresponding design and construction services.
According to the tender notice published on 28 July, the budget for the contract has been fixed at approximately US$ 6 297 442. Proposals which exceed the budget price will not be considered. The duration for the engineering and construction services for the El Cóndor small hydropower project is 720 days.
The contract will be awarded to an independent consultant or construction firm with proven experience in the design and construction of comparable projects. The tender for design and construction services is subject to regulations contained in the “Guidelines for Procurement of Goods, Works and associated Services in Financial Cooperation with Partner Countries”.
Proposals for contract El Cóndor LPI-KfW-ENDE-003 should be submitted to the below-mentioned address. All proposals must include a bid bond of US$ 62 974.22 or its equivalent in the local currency (bolivianos), with a validity period of 150 days from the day of bid submission.
