Interest sought for the Lesotho Highlands Water project

The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) will soon be inviting Expressions of Interest from suitable, qualified engineering and construction companies interested in tendering for the construction of the 165 m-high Polihali dam and the 38 km-long Polihali transfer tunnel.

Alert to interested engineering and construction companies: The Lesotho Highlands Water Project phase II dam and tunnel construction pre-qualification is to commence in the second half of 2018.

The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) will soon be inviting Expressions of Interest from suitable, qualified engineering and construction companies interested in tendering for the construction of the 165 m-high Polihali dam and the 38 km-long Polihali transfer tunnel. Suitably experienced international contractors are encouraged to apply. Included in the prequalification documents will be the requirements for participation by Lesotho- and South African-national contractors essential for prequalification on these contracts.

The prequalification will be advertised in the Lesotho and South African press and on the LHDA website at http://www.lhda.org.ls/phase2/tenderbulletin/.
