Following the international SOLAR-HYDRO 2024 conference in Antibes, this year’s event extended the focus to broader aspects of hybridization, and once again united experts from the solar PV and hydropower sectors to discuss innovations and success stories, challenges and standards being set to enhance best practice. As a chairperson from DNV commented: Future growth of floating solar PV will not, and should not, only be driven by technical innovation, but also by increasing confidence. Papers on safety, guidelines and risk assessment given at the conference will have played an important role in this respect.
